After having really enjoyed making a lamp using the NURBS tools, I decided I wanted to do even more projects of the same calliber so I made some chess peices, a simple set of pawns and a set of more complicated bishops.
The moddeling process was simple because I already had the fresh experience of the lamp project. To make these chess peices look more symbolic to what they're meant to represent I textured them in suybstance painter.
Despite it only being a side project I was really happy with how they ended up looking. If I ever wanted to extend on these projects I'd really like to make a full set of peices and matchmove them all over a board with Nuke software. This would actually be pretty easy because I'd get a very good point cloud to work with thanks to the corners all over the board.
