For this project I was tasked to create a fidget spinner and to then UV and texture it.

For the first step I created a cylinder, removed the inner faces and then re-extruded them to create the bearing. After that I created the part that would connect with 2 other copies of the same model to create the fidget spinner.

Before that however, I created a simple inner grip where you'd spin a real fidget spinner from.

After that I created 2 copies of the first model and rotated them around the origin point
(0, 0, 0) to create the fidget spinner.

Before I could texture I had to UV the fidget spinner to textures would appropriately fit and be equally detailed all around the model (You don't always have to do that however, you might want to make smaller parts that require less emphasis have less detail then bigger parts).

I assigned all the specific parts of the model with their own materials so that Substance painter could identify this and then allow for textures to be drag and dropped individually within these areas.

After this I dragged materials into the groups and rendered the object.
