For this blog I will be shortly assessing a production pipeline for the games industry and then looking more in depth into a role within this industry I'd like to consider working towards.

This is the career map in it's entirety and the arrows are supposed to represent what roles lead to what through the development process in a game.

All in all it's really what I expected from such a production process having covered it in the first year of my course.

I was however quite surprised to see how integrated things like E-Sports and games testing are within the game development process. E-Sports being a core part of marketing a game to more potential people and games testing allows for developers to see first hand from their target demographic how to improve upon their games.

A role I like the sound of is being a 3D Modeling Artist.

3D modeling artists have the ability to turn a game from an idea to something really unique seeing as they create the entire world you see and play within, making working in this area of the industry really rewarding. This is also the area that in my time of being in the course feel like I can really do things and make then look nice so I can naturally better improve on this skill then any others.
