Digital Art:
Digital Art is artwork that is done within some sort of device whether this be a drawing tablet, a desktop PC or a laptop.
You have access to a wide range of tools and you also have the power to create your own. Along with this comes the unlimited availability of resources such as colour. These make working digitally very cost effective. Where the likes of drawing tablets and laptops are concerned, your work is very portable and can be worked on wherever you go. Your work can also be backed up into the cloud for both your own security and for greater accessibility.
However, without being careful and not backing up your work, files can become corrupt and as a result you can lose everything. Despite being very cost effective in the short term, the same can't be said for long term usage, professional applications such as Adobe Photoshop have large monthly costs and if you're unable to carry on paying for it then you can't carry on with your work. With the internet and files being open to potential large crowds, your work can be stolen and claimed by others if you're not careful. Digital art is also less respected due to it being deemed easier of even cheating by some.
Traditional Art:
Tradition Art is artwork that is done through real-world materials such as paint on canvases.
Traditional Art is very respected by people due to time and effort a single piece of work can take. It isn't saved on some sort of device so it can't suddenly get corrupt and lost forever. Once you have your tools and paints there is no 'monthly fee' to consider and you can work in your own time. Due to the work being of such high quality it's very hard to replicate.
However, your resources are limited and you must pay for more if you want to carry on after they run out. You are not able to take work with you anywhere you go, it is less portable. If you make any kind of mistake there is no undo button and you are either stuck with it or stuck with agonizing task of repairing it.
